A brand new truck, and a thank-you from Tony.
On September 2, Tony Bruno posted three photos to the Austin Estate Gate Facebook page. They show a new black Toyota Tacoma, and the truck is for Remigio, who has been on the crew for a decade.
“Brand new ride for our faithful decade long employee/partner Remigio ...Congratulations and thank you! Drive it safe and keep up the great work-”
Tony’s post calls Remigio an employee and a partner in the same breath. People who stay that long stop being a name on the schedule. They become part of how the work gets done.
Why a truck belongs on a gate blog
Most of what we write here is about openers, hinges, call boxes, and what a repair costs. This post is about a person, because the people who come out to your property matter as much as the parts they bring.
Gates are mechanical, and no two properties are quite the same. The slope of the drive, the brand of operator, the way the wiring runs back to the house: someone who has worked on gates around Austin for years has seen most of the ways they fail, and remembers what fixed them.
That is why continuity matters to us. A repair goes better when the person doing it has done it many times before. A same-day call goes smoother when the crew knows the roads and the equipment. And it is easier to open your gate to someone you have seen before.
Thank you, Remigio
Austin Estate Gate has been building and fixing gates in Austin since 2008. A company that has been around that long is only as good as the people who show up for it, day after day. Tony said it best, so we will keep this short: congratulations on the new truck, thank you for the work, and drive it safe.
And if your own gate needs a look, we would be glad to come out.
